With the guiding motto, “We are servants of the servant,” this year’s event, themed “Humility in Service to God and Humanity,” honored over thirty years of unwavering service by the wardens to the Parish.
The celebration brought together parishioners, the executive committee of the Archdiocese Catholic Church Wardens Association (ACCWA), wardens from various parishes, and distinguished guests, including the High Commissioner of The Gambia. The service, enriched with prayers, hymns, and reflections, highlighted the wardens’ unwavering commitment to the Parish.
The first reading was taken from Jeremiah 31:7-9, the second reading from Hebrews 5:1-6, and the Gospel from Mark 10:46-52.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Titus Imojime delivered a heartfelt homily centered on hope, faith, and compassion, encouraging attendees to see Jesus as the compassionate Messiah who provides healing and restoration.

During the event, the wardens presented gifts to symbolize gratitude and appreciation within the Parish. This was followed by a competitive fundraising among three groups: Group One (Carpenters), Group Two (Teachers), and Group Three (Fishermen).
Group Three ultimately triumphed in the friendly contest, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie.
