It is with great joy and humility that I welcome you all to the Catholic Men’s Association of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Juba. As men called to serve both God and our community, we stand united in our mission to strengthen our faith, support one another, and actively contribute to the growth and development of our parish.
Together, we will embody our motto of Love, Unity, and Service, working to deepen our spiritual lives and lead by example in our families, workplaces, and society. Let us continue to walk in the footsteps of our patron, Saint Peter, as strong pillars of the Church.

The Catholic Men’s Association (CMA) is an organization within the Catholic Church that brings together men of faith to deepen their spiritual lives, serve their parish, and support one another in living out the teachings of Christ. Rooted in the values of love, unity, and service, the CMA focuses on fostering leadership, strengthening families, and contributing to the spiritual and physical development of the Church community.

Saint Peter, the Rock – The CMA honors Saint Peter, the apostle whom Christ chose as the foundation of the Church. His strength, leadership, and faithfulness serve as a model for all members.
Aim
The Catholic Men’s Association aims to unite Catholic men within the parish for both spiritual and human development, while also contributing to the growth and well-being of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Juba.
Objectives
Support the Clergy and Evangelization
Assisting the clergy in parish activities and promoting the Catholic faith through active evangelization.Active Participation in Parish Life
Members are encouraged to participate in parish events, liturgies, and community service initiatives.Mentorship and Encouragement
Encouraging the younger generation to embrace the Catholic faith and join the parish community.Mutual Support and Assistance
Providing help to members in need, both spiritually and materially, in accordance with the association’s principles.Reconciliation and Unity

Building relationships with similar Catholic organizations within and outside the parish to foster cooperation and mutual support.
Membership
Membership is open to all baptized and practicing Catholic men who are 18 years and older (married or single) and parishioners of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Juba.
Activities
Spiritual Formation
Regular prayer meetings, Bible study sessions, and retreats to help members grow in their faith.Parish Involvement
Actively participating in parish events, fundraisers, and liturgical celebrations.Community Service
Organizing charity drives, supporting the needy, and promoting the values of the Church in the broader community.Mentorship and Leadership

Meeting
The general meeting of the Catholic Men’s Association (CMA) is held on the second Sunday of every month, immediately after the 10:00 AM Mass. This meeting serves as an opportunity for important briefings on the Association’s activities at the parish, deanery, and archdiocesan levels. Members of the Executive Committee will convene prior to any general meeting to discuss and prepare matters for presentation to the wider membership.
